Client's word : Delphine LANCEL, Associate Director RH&M Group

During this period of containment we keep in touch with our customers and give them a voice. Feelings, consequences on their business and vision for the future, they give us in a few questions their point of view on this unprecedented situation.

Delphine LANCEL is Associate Director of the RH&M Group and organizer of the Global RH Congress, a recurring event in which the Palais Brongniart is a partner, which rewards the best CEO/HRD pairs. She agreed to answer some of our questions.

Hello Delphine, thank you for taking a few minutes to answer us.
What impact has the crisis had on your own day-to-day work?

One of the immediate consequences was to be forced to cancel our flagship event, the GLOBAL HR Congress that was to be held on March 24, 25 and 26 at the Palais Brongniart, and therefore to deconstruct what we had been preparing with all our partners since November 2019! So a lot of work to prevent, to answer the incessant questions, the worries... But also to cancel with the 850 people who had planned to participate on one or the other of these 3 days. So we've done some deconstruction to go towards reinvention because in the end what guides us is to find the B plans!

How did you reorganize during this period of containment?

We're all teleworking and we've been using the partial activity. Our will is obviously to continue to be present with our customers whatever the cost, by developing solidarity initiatives while often relying on our partners, by answering the sometimes sensitive and urgent questions that our members may ask themselves and by preparing the recovery. We are developing more digital initiatives, remotely and by working today on the next physical events that we can't wait to relaunch!

Which mission did you have to move to the forefront of the contingency plan to respond to the current situation?

The forced digitisation of our initiatives, at last those for which it was feasible.

From a broader perspective, what are the short-term and long-term implications for your organization?

It is still difficult to answer this question. But surely, beyond the stock of masks and other hydro-alcoholic gels... more digitalization, to enter more and more into the world of the "Tele...".

What do you think will change afterwards and will never be the same again in the organization of your events?

Again not easy to answer, but it will surely revolve around this new notion of "social distancing"... to be continued.
